Qatar will host the MENA Fintech Festival 2024 as part of the Oxford Business Group and Arab Fintech Forum

Oxford Business Group is happy to confirm its participation in hosting, on behalf of the Arab Fintech Forum, the MENA Fintech Festival 2024, scheduled for December 3-5 at the Qatar National Convention Centre, Doha. As research partner for this event, OBG will provide essential economic information about digital financial services within Qatar through its annual publication, The Report: Qatar 2025.

This partnership allows the significance of fintech in Qatar’s swiftly shifting financial landscape to have a voice, as OBG’s expertise and data-driven research will be leveraged to inform an international audience of nascent trends, opportunities, and challenges in digital finance.

Several exciting tracks will make their way into this three-day festival, designed to get into the hottest trends, bond over meaningful connections within the fintech community, and more:

  1. Investors’ Oasis: A track focused on bringing investors to the promising fintech start-ups and scale-ups.
  2. Women in Fintech: Honoring women leaders in fintech and calling more attention to female presence in the sector.
  3. Hive for Startups: Presentations by startups on their product and solution to a diverse audience, like investors and potential partners.
  4. Fintech Bookshelf: a place to explore the best recent thought leadership in fintech.
  5. Fintech Lab: live demonstrations of cutting-edge innovations: practical applications of AI, blockchain, cybersecurity, etc
  6. The Pitch Pit: a unique opportunity for startup pitches to get good feedback and insights on what makes the difference in successful pitches, along with chances of funding.

We are delighted to engage with the Arab Fintech Forum as research partner for the MENA Fintech Festival 2024, which, we feel, will showcase Qatar’s accomplishments in digital financial services to our worldwide audience,” said Fernanda Braz, OBG’s Country Director in Qatar.
In your opinion, this cooperation will push the agenda on innovation and support growth for fintech across the MENA region by really facilitating meaningful discussions and connections.

President and Founder of Arab Fintech Forum Mr Malik Shishtawi mentioned that the Arab Fintech Forum brings together thought leaders across the whole spectrum of financial technology, offering a basis for discussion that will set future directions for fintech in the Arab region and beyond. “This year’s festival will put in the focus the latest trends and novelties in digital banking, blockchain, and financial inclusion – further cooperation that will produce forward-step momentum for the industry.”

OBG’s flagship report, The Report: Qatar 2025, will hit the shelves in early 2025, after over 12 months of detailed field research. The report will provide an exhaustive analysis of the trends and developments in the sectors, with special emphasis on digital finance.
